Federal Police has arrived to Oaxaca's international airport. One thing is clear to Oaxacans, that they are going to reinforce police men that earlier this Friday attacked people and APPO members.

To the public naked eye abroad, federal police intervention is a good and necessary thing. However, to Oaxacans and APPO supporters, this is not quite clear. Firslty, due to the fact that federal gevernment has supported Ulises Ruis. Hence, this intervention means but repression at a bigger scale.

Second, it is clear that for federal government APPO members are criminals that ought be jailed. According to Mexico's prosecutor there are at least ten APPO leaders that must be brought to justice. Which poses a special situation for protestors and teachers alike, in which they are no longer recognised as legitime social actors but as criminals. Therefore it is unlikely for them to give up, which could further result in more violence.
All in all, Oaxaca situation is complicated and more police force in this very moment only means more repression. Of course there is still room for solving this situation, as Flavio Sosa has pointed out. Ruis resignation is the only condition they are asking for.
