Gender and Revolt in Oaxaca

This is a video from telemundo in California that shows and emphasises the fact that women are participating actively in APPO demonstrations. On the one hand, it can be seen a woman confronting the anti-riot squad, on the other, there is another woman offering flowers in good will signal. A mother and her wounded son is also in the video, and the lady says 'if anything happens to my son,... I don't know how,... but Ulises Ruiz will pay for it'(my translation). All in all, this video shows that women participation in the demonstrations is not only to encourage men, but bravely active.
