Oaxacan Women Demonstration in support of the death and detained people,..

This demonstration by Oaxacan Women is to support the death (about 14) and detained people. As can be seen, it is a peaceful demonstration and despite this fact federal police attack them with water tanks. One woman was wounded as a result of a stone dropped by a policeman behind the watertank. This video is taken from 'la jornada' and was done on November 8th.

People are so angry at federal and state government that they are willing to fight against the police. One of the protestors said that 'maybe there is no hope for me or my children, but I am willing to fight for the future generations' (my own translation and interpretation).

It also shows that women are playing a central role in the struggle. At first, women offered flowers to the policemen in good will, later when police started to fight them with water they went angry and for a moment it seems that violence was due to begin,... at the end demonstrated put themselves together and continue with their peaceful walking out.
